Recurring bladder Infections: What can I do?

@tmj

I have also had recurring UTI's. I have been taking daily: D-Mannose and a Cranberry Supplement and also put estrogen cream on my bladder opening 3x's a week. This was prescribed/suggested by a urologist. That being said, I have not had an infection for 10 months and things are feeling much better. I just don't know if I need to be taking both the Cranberry and D-Mannose. I order the cranberry supplements from Theralogix and they are pricey. The company does not support D-Mannose yet so I have ordered the powder from Walmart or Amazon. Any thought?

Hi TMJ, I'm glad to hear that you've had success and have not had an UTI for 10 months now.

@rosemariewalters was also asking about the safety and/or necessity of taking D-Mannose and cranberry long term. As always, this is a question best asked of your doctor. I would hate for you to pay for expensive supplements if they are no longer necessary.

Here's more information about D-Mannose https://www.healthline.com/health/d-mannose-for-uti

Rosemarie, how are you doing? TMJ, can you speak with your doctor before continuing with the supplements?
