@jamy - how did your surgery go? If you are still checking in here, I would love to know about your progress. I am having my reverse right TSR on Oct 21, and I feel I have a lot to learn about shoulders, even though I have had both knees successfully replaced. I live in a rural area as well, but my surgeon has an excellent reputation locally and the follow up care and physical therapy were very good in my past experience. Husband and I go in for a personal pre-op presentation by PT on what to expect from TSR tomorrow, so I'll get a chance to ask a lot of questions.

I'm about 11 months out from having had reverse shoulder replacement. My only suggestion is get a nerve block.... Mine lasted about 6 days which meant pretty much pain free...you control how much pain relief you get by adjusting the block. I have pretty much total range of motion and am working with a trainer to build up strength. I use my shoulder/arm for everything with no limitations. YEAH!
