@kenyalama

I also have the dry eyes, mouth and even nose but lately the dry mouth wakes me up at night with the feeling I have not a drop of saliva in my mouth. I rinse with Act but does nothing. I go back to sleep and wake up again
Is it worse at night for everyone ?
I am wondering now if I also have some sort of allergy. My nose feels stuffy and dry and I feel I can’t breath through the nose. Lips are super dry
I am applying petroleum jelly since lip balms don’t help
One other thing nothing to do with health
I think Lori asked about my user name
My user name kenyalama is the combination of the first two letters of my grandkids names whom I adore and I am no longer able to take them to museums, movies etc as I used to due part to my health issues and part to the pandemia. It makes me sad BUT
It’s 7:25 in the morning and I will try to not start my day with the blues
So heading to make coffee in my wheelchair
Still live by myself
Got my booster shot yesterday
I encourage everyone with autoimmune to get the booster!
Stay safe !

Hello kenyalama. My name is Yolanda and I have dry mouth as well and a dry and bloody/stuffy nose everyday. I use the TheraBreath Dry Mouth lozenges. They have a nice flavor and I have one or two before bed while I'm watching the night news. Honestly though, I still wake up at night with a dry mouth after being able to sleep more than three hours...... I know the frustration you must be having with the dry mouth (I keep a bottle of water by my bedside as well)..... I have my grandchildren too but like you, I can't go out and enjoy them AND THE SUN. I've got an immune skin thing that attacks myself as if it were bad. I have Bullous Pemphigoid. Not as bad as the pictures show because I try my hardest to stay on top of this stupid disease. Like you too, I try not to be blue and the feeling of being alone in this fight for the past year and a half. It's funny but I just received my third dose of Moderna on the 13th and I feel so happy. I got a real reaction with a mild fever! I know it sounds funny but my first two gave me no reactions whatsoever - proof was in my latest blood tests showing no antibodies detected (probably and most likely from me taking prednisone for my blisters....). Well my friend, I hope this little letter lets you know you're not alone in this stupid fight (AND DURING A PANDEMIC TOO)! They weren't kidding when they said 'we're in this together'....

Stay safe and stay well,

Con Cariño, Yolanda
