We have a new salt room in our town so I searched and found this thread. Has anybody been to one since this thread was started?

Here is what the American Lung Association had to say: https://www.lung.org/blog/promising-placebo-salt-halotherapy

At one point I considered trying the salt room at our local spa, but decided I am more comfortable with nebulizing 7% saline at home because it is a known quantity, there is scientific support for the practice, and I know I am not exposing myself to possible pathogens in the air from unknown visitors. It would not be possible to be masked and still get the benefits of a salt room...just my opinion.

@tinaesims Before COVID I went to salt room for a couple months...but I agree with @sueinmn it's probably not a good idea until this pandemic is over because your mouth and nose need to be uncovered and I don't know if that's a good idea at this point if there are other people in the same salt room. If you had your own private salt room....now that would work. Whether or not they work, I don't know but I'm sure it can't hurt. Salt seems to heal so much. And I believe there is the true story of the men over who Europe who actually worked in salt mines (I think it was France but I'm not sure) everyday and the ones that had lung disease and/or lung issues seem to resolve their issues from working in there for days on end.
