@silvio

I got Moderna vaccine, mild pain after 1st shot, evolving to more pain and partial immobility of left arm. After 4 months of pain and not enough information, went to the doctor and was diagnosed with frozen shoulder. Took the steroid injection, but still no improvement after 2 weeks. I am very worried about deciding to take a booster shot, and which arm, since I don't want to compromise my right arm too. I don't know if I'm allegic to polyethylene glycol [PEG]. Should I take the JJ booster, instead?

Hello @silvio and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I am sorry to hear about your experience and I can completely understand your hesitation and anxiety with getting the next vaccine.

I found an article that may be of interest to you as you determine what is right for you and also recap your experience with the first vaccine.

Does any of that article ring true for you when you received your first vaccine?

Hi @silvio, Have you tried physical therapy for the shoulder? I went on Youtube.com and typed in Frozen Shoulder exercises and did those. It really was hard but it worked and I have full use of my shoulder. Best of luck getting that shoulder back!
