Slow transit constipation and surgery

@dianecostella

I have chronic constipation to the point of ridiculousness. I had an anal mamentry test and biofeedback was suggested. Can you explain what it entails? I also have autonomic small fiber neuropathy which causes this. I have always been constipated but this is on a whole different level. I am scheduled for the smart pill to see if it is a motility issue. What surgery are you holding off on?

Hi @dianecostella Sorry , I hadn’t seen your posting. You have autonomic small fiber neuropathy that is causing severe constipation. And you’re scheduled for the smart pill to check or motility. Can you explain the smart pill for me?

@dianecostella I’m not sure if i understand correctly, are you asking what biofeedback entails? Was this not explained by the doctor doing the test? Here is some information on biofeedback
