I started taking weekly Fosanax one month ago and have developed planters fasciitis in both feet. I’ve found articles on line showing that this has happened. It’s serious enough that I will have to stop the Fosanax. Has anyone else had this happen and if I stop the drug will it go away pretty quickly? I’ve had it in one foot many years ago but never both the same time.

Some meds sure do have odd side affects , don't they? It sure sounds like something to discuss with your doctor. Maybe there is something to offset it or maybe it stops doing that after a period of time.

I have a bad reaction to statins for high cholesterol. I get really bad nosebleeds after on it for a few months. I would go off it and then my cholesterol would shoot up. My doctor finally said "do you want to deal with nosebleeds or die of a heart attack?". Then she referred me to an ENT who cauterized my nose. That was only a couple weeks ago at the same time as I went back on the statin. Time will tell if it works.

I hope you find a solution to this. I know how painful those can be and it can interfere with daily life.

Hey @rudie you'll see I moved your post to a discussion that was already talking about fosomax. I did this so you could connect with other people taking the medication.

How long has it been since the planters fasciitis developed?
