Lobectomy scheduled—What kind of home help will I need?

@redman4466- Good morning, it's nice to meet you. After my second lobectomy, I felt very much the same. I didn't need any additional medication other than from my Thoracic epidural analgesia, (TEA) is nowadays considered to be the gold standard technique in pain management, usually recommended to be the first line after thoracic surgery. It provides a better pain relief than opioid PCA treatment and permits a faster recovery. I also didn't need anything when discharged.

Please know that this was very lucky for you. However, unlike you, I was very, very tired. My first lobectomy was extremely painful after surgery. Perhaps with the second surgery, more medication was used as it was very long compared with the first. I was treated at MGH and have been for years.
