@colleenyoung @polywog @connie1977.. My son in law and my daughter were both in the Novavax trial in California. My daughter got the placebo and my son in law got the vaccine. He did not have any serious side effects other than the usual chills and pain. My daughter had since taken the Pfizer. Since they plan to travel to Europe next month, and Novavax had not received approval from FDA, my son in law took a Johnson and Johnson vaccine. He was tested after the Novavax and it showed very high efficacy. I had Moderna and am waiting to hear about a booster!

Question: If you receive the trail vaccination of Novavax, it doesn't count toward being vaccination? That is sad. We know we have to be vaccination before February when we go on a cruise, but REALLY want to get the Novavax. Praying it will be approved and available by November.
We both still have active antibodies from having Covid in January and don't feel comfortable getting a vaccination while still having antibodies. Our son received the Moderna after having a strong case of Covid and had a terrible time with the first injection. (4 months after being sick) Passed on the second one because of his reaction.

Thank you Mayofeb2020 for giving us this update great news that it seems to be a great candidate.
By chance did Your Daughter or Son in law hear of any time frame for the FDA approval? Also was there any details on the effectiveness against some of the newer variants?

Blessings
