What's outside of your picture window today?
As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?
For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

Ironically, I live in the first ring suburbs, can see the skyscrapers from my back yard, and surrounded by corporate headquarters and trucking depots. Fortunately, from early days, our little town, county and state have diligently worked to preserve our few wildlife corridors, and make businesses buffer their sites with "greenbelts" that include heavy tree & brush cover.

Now if I can just get him to run across the road, over the hill and down to the river, he will be where he belongs. Reminder to look closer before opening the window!
They hate being squirted with a hose!
@artist01 @ess77 @lioness @jakedduck1 and everyone! Wow, my garden exploded with the latest rain! It had been dry for so long I wasn’t sure my babies would bloom this year! It’s hard to choose a favorite flower but I really do love Black-eyed Susans. Sunshine in the garden.
I just realized they are blurry when enlarged. Hmm nothing I can do to fix it! Well, you get the idea.
@loribmt
You need some King Alfred daffodils and some blue & red flowers or shrubs. A few duckies waddling around would be nice too.
Jake
Hey Jake, I think I met your demands. LOL. Plenty of daffodils, red tulips, blue hyacinths in the spring. I had some blue delphiniums in the garden next to the yellows but they’re finished for the season. Ducks are at the lake! You’re really tough to please. 😂
@johnbishop. Is that a woodchuck? Your woodchuck, John, Jr.?
MY, he's precious and a big boy! And, looks like he's feeling pretty much at home.
That's not a good thing. How about putting out a trail of wool chips or whatever he considers desert leading to the woods? Would he go for it?
I love this, John. Tks for the pics. I've spent the last 30 min taking pics w/my phone of a big tree frog stuck on my upstairs sitting room/kitty room/kitchenette during a rain storm. He lives on my patio w/the crepe myrtle and all the feathered visitors. I think he's beautiful! Note the suction cups on his feet....I'm wierd. I do love nature and do think he's a beauty.
Now, I just have to get him to my laptop and Mayo Connect!
I'll do it...
Cancelled Mayo appts today, breast follow-up for cyst etc, & tomorrow. Yesterday was tough-ish. At Mayo all day. A surprise and had to not take Rob to doc to ck on his newish and worse side/back pain, maybe gall bladder...will take him friday...I saw rheumatology first time in 34 years, referred by nephrology for Vasculitis confirmation, etc. He has concerns all the infections I've had this year involving many systems are coming from a central source, sent me for
bloodwork/urine/chest CT so I got home after 6PM. I was wiped out. Worried and feeling guilty re Rob needing help, but made decision to get tests.
Have blood in urine while taking Keflex to stop UTI's. Hmmmm.
Have low immunoglobulin 2/3. Looks like Vasculitis, Also, pulmonary fibrosis, granulomatosis with polyangitis, whatever that is. We'll see. I'm thrilled that they are treating me as a whole person, looking for underlying causes. Thank you, Lord!
Still working on the sinus infection-pseudonomas aero??????. It's stubborn and still have some constant pain. Hope it leaves me next couple of days, but it may be stubborn until surgery. Anyway, I'm tired of all this mucky stuff and glad for answers!
Well, that's it for now. Over to see Rob and fix his weekly meds. Rain stopped after dropping over 2 inches on my patio. I often flood out back, so I have ankle deep water on the patio. From above, off the roof, running under the fence and gate. Will have a slope added when get paving and wall finished, may dig a French drain thingy.. Good thing!
Bless you all and rest well. Elizabeth
@loribmt
Me tough please? Shurly you jest. However, I’d rip out the white with yellow combo daffodils though. Maybe a fake duckie?
Jake
@loribmt Beautiful flowers I like black eyed Susan's also glad you had a lot of rain send some to Ca.
@jakedduck1 et al...
Nothing fake, dear Jake, unless maybe a yellow ducky...have a great night, good rest...elizabeth
