@justdiagnosed I personally know nothing about strontium but I just googled it and came up with this article from American Bone Health. It does not sound as if strontium is a recommended option, the DEXA results are misleading.

@kilh It's a difficult decision on whether to try Tymlos again. Considering the side effects you had I would consult with the physician treating your osteoporosis and the physician who is your PCP and see what they think.

@dbmenger I'm sorry to hear you had such difficult side effects from Reclast. I know they can happen but it's an extremely small percentage of people who experience them. I assume you followed all of the prevention suggestions that should be done prior to the injection.

I am on Tymlos now but Reclast has been suggested as my follow-up drug so I am very interested in hearing about side effects.

I found that article about Strontium as well. It's a key ingredient in Bone Grow, which I was thinking of starting. I just started alendronate three weeks ago, with no side effects so far, but of course, would like to get off it before the "drug holiday" after five years of use, which the rheumatologist mentioned to me. Although I walk 6 times a week for an hour, it wasn't enough to keep osteoporosis at pay, plus now I take prednisone for an autoimmune disorder. So started specific strength training program for osteoporosis (Carol Michaels is on YouTube if you want to check her out) and purchased a vibration exerciser, which hasn't come yet, but I'm looking forward to using. Best of luck, tsc.
