Anyone had Thyroid Nodules?

I have a thyroid nodule (actually 3 of them) that have been monitored for about 15 years or so, they get bigger, smaller, sometimes I can see them... This actually persisted through a period of hyperthyroid, which didn't seem to have any impact on the size. My thyroid hormones (all) are also checked often and remain normal no matter the size of the nodule. I can tell you that going gluten-free 10+ years ago has had absolutely no impact on the nodules or thyroid hormones. Who suggested that might help you?
When I saw the latest endocrinologist, she said removing the thyroid is now a last resort, as replacement hormones are never quite the same as your body.

The gluten free was just a thought I had. I was thinking maybe the gluten aggravated it and caused it to grow. I guess I just have to get use to the "lump" in my throat at times. Previously, I could not feel the nodules. I am hoping they will maybe shrink since the size increase just seemed to start within the last 3 months. Have you found your hair thinner? Anything that you have done that has helped? I know the endo told me there was basically nothing I could do, but I'm always hopeful.
