@rosemarya

@thapaz, Welcome to Mayo Connect where patients share experiences and support each other with similar health conditions. I am happy to meet you and I hope that I can provide some information that will be helpful to you. I comment you for your desire to take control of your health as a result of this recent diagnosis.

Fatty liver disease, as its name implies is caused by too much fat stored in liver cells. The medical name is Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/nonalcoholic-fatty-liver-disease/symptoms-causes/syc-20354567

As a liver/kidney transplant recipient, I am aware of the necessity of healthy eating to protect myself from diabetes. Healthy diet, healthy weight, and exercise are the first line of protection and prevention. This includes alcohol consumption.
With your youthful age, and your pre-diabetes diagnosis - What has your doctor advised you about possible dietary modifications, or weight loss?

Rosemary, Thx for the response.
This is Nimi. I am 62, obese, diabetic and have been diagnosed with NASH-2, fatty liver about 3 months ago. I am very scared.
I am having trouble maintaining healthy life style. I try to follow it for 1 day and next day the plan collapses. I need some encouragement and emotional help to put myself together.
