What a hoot! @johnbishop and @loribmt and all....What adorable sort of cat clings. I've never heard of these things, but makes so much sense, if they are a bit weird. I've have too many little birds hitting my patio windows, so I hung a metal dove wind thingy that is something I can enjoy and brings me joy AND most importantly, it sparkles a bunch, gently, and keeps them from thinking they can fly through the window. At least so far. I thought I'd give it a try, after seeing some little reflectors made to hang from plants or trees or whatever to deter birds. I'd never seen them and thought this little reflector would do the same job w/the windows. so far so good..

I spent some good time downstairs today for the first time in a while. I'm scheduling time in the recliner downstairs relaxing, calming mind and body and soul for about an hour before heading to bed. I thank sweet Sue for that as she shared her special time on the patio to help settle down for the evening. I schedule it and it works wonders.

Today, after some prednisone, I emptied, cleaned in warm, soapy water 8 feeders that were not looking so good and had been ignored for several days. Boy, that felt so good. To accomplish this today was a really good thing and a good feeling. I took it easy, didn't try to run a race, just calmly enjoyed cleaning, refilling and rearranging my feeders for my many friends. And they came flocking back almost as soon as I put them back up outside. that was really interesting, they were watching, I think, and waiting for more goodies.

I now put out peanut pieces in a couple of metal tube feeders....those are always fun for everyone. My waxwings, woodys, and others love those nuts. I have a red metal ball of sunflower seeds, put out 2 hummingbird feeders. I hope they work this time. I put them on opposite sides of the tree so they won't squabble over the territory, as I read happens. It seems the males are territorial and protect the food sources for the females. Ain't that the sweetest....

So, I put out 2 and we'll see what happens. I hope to see some new friends soon. Not much luck recently with hummers, so this might help. I really enjoy these friends and we have quite an interesting relationship these days.
Good for each other.

Woke up last night with a sore throat and some real facial/ear/jaw pain, sinus junk. But, worse and the throat was new. So, Cepacol is under my pillow and prednisone again today. I'm taking the formulary antibiotic in a saline rinse 2X daily that may have just begun helping some today. We'll see. Hope tonight and tomorrow bring signs of improvement. I will email the doc just to let her know of the throat. Might mean some kind of change, but maybe not.

Anyway, all is good in north Florida. Had a good rain at dusk, got all the feeders wet, and made my flowers happy. Hope to feel like reading our friend John's helpful notes re sending you all pics of my little world. The first day I have the energy and can concentrate, you'll get some insight into this world. I want to share with all of you, I adore the pictures you post.

Be well and be blessed. elizabeth

Here are a few new window photos for you Elizabeth @ess77. Hoping you have a pain free relaxing day.

Good morning Elizabeth. I am glad you are finding a tiny bit of energy to get moving. I know those days of being flattened, and how distressing it is to be unable to do what you want.
We are suffering bad air from the Western and Canadian fires, which locks me in the house - I feel trapped! I managed a quick stroll around the yard early this morning before the air quality began to fall again, but I'm having another indoor day. So I told all the weeds "Relax, you're safe for a few more days!"

At least I'll be productive, as my daughter needs a wall painter ("I don't do ceilings any more") But I really need to put a few wipe-on coats of varnish on all the woodwork, sanded and waiting in my shed. That has to be done out in the garage, so needs to wait a few more days.

Here's another daylily favorite.
Wishing you a good day.
Sue
