Hi Gina, were you put on the BIG THREE antibiotics? How are you doing now? - Terri M.
Hi Patty. Please keep us posted on how you are doing and what they are doing for you. Hope you are feeling better soon. - Terri M.
Did you get the referral of a dr in NJ posted by terrib1 ?
No, no antibiotics yet. Both my regular pulmonary Dr. and the specialist, Dr. Kamelhar at NYU don't think it's necessary yet. I have no symptoms. I'm using the Aerobika twice a day, but don't have much mucus to cough up. I'm scheduled in two weeks to have a sputum induction. I've never had that before so we'll see what happens after that.

@ginak, Gina, good for you that you are using your Aerobika twice a day .. one of the best things you could be doing for yourself!! GREAT for lung clearance .. smart girl! Keep us posted on how your sputum cultures go .. AND ALWAYS request a HARD copy of the reports so you can keep track of things .. AND ask about anything you don't understand on the reports! Hugs! Katherine
I had similar, went for the induction and nothing came up

Hi Patty, I'm in New York City. I was diagnosed in Dec 2016 with MAI and bronchiectasis. I checked out the American Lung Association website and the NTM website for Drs. I just started going to Dr. Kamelhar at NYU. He was one of the recommended Drs. I suggest you check on line also and see if you find a Dr near you, or maybe someone else on here can suggest a Dr they have used.
