@gingerly

I was diagnosed with hydrogen dominant SIBO. First gastro put me on Cipro which did nothing. She sent me for an ultrasound and CAT scan which were negative. Went to a second gastro at Cleveland Clinic Florida who prescribed Flagyl and Neomycin together. The Neomycin gave me Tinnitus so I stopped taking it, however, I still have the ringing in my ears which is a side effect. Went to another gastro at a different Cleveland Clinic location in Florida, who upon looking at the medications I am currently taking told me immediately she believes I got SIBO from taking high blood pressure medication called Benicar. I did some research, and it seems like she is correct. I am having an endoscopy next week and will see what the biopsy results show and hopefully the doctor will prescribe another medication depending on the results. I still have nausea and pain, but no more diarrhea. I suggest to anyone who takes Benicar to please speak with your doctor.
