in 2005 i had a total left knee. my massage therapist told me more than once that something was not right. My knee cap moved and there was heat at the joint. i fell and injured this knee on Dec 2007. after much pain my surgeon did arthroscopic procedure. did not help and i developed cellulitis . i had knee replacement implant removed and replaced with implant "stuffed" with antibodies also had infusion therapy for weeks. after blood work showed no infection a permanent implant was placed in my knee. here is where i would like to mention i have fibromyalgia diagnosed by a rheumatologist. i am also on some pretty strong drugs...lyrica, toradol , and celebrex. i still have pain down the front of my shin. sometimes it aches ...sometimes it burns...sometimes it is sore...sometimes it is numb i have tried to get another opinion but am continually told to return to my original surgeon Not an option . advise me , please i am a 75 year old woman and except for my joints i am very healthy Thank you, for your time and expertise

Just a few questions for you - how long ago was your final surgery?
Have you asked why you are being told to go back to the original surgeon? What do you hope to learn by going to a different one? It sounds like maybe you are having some arthritis and/or nerve issues in the leg, so maybe a rheumatologist or neurologist can help figure it out.
Good luck, sometimes you need to be persistent to be heard, so keep at it.
