Nerve pain
I had knee surgery 3yrs ago the knee came loose the compound didn't take so I had to get a second surgery to fix it . Things was going good and then the pain just wouldn't go away the pain is in my knee with some numbness and my big toe is numb now. They did a test to see if I had a pinch nerve but found no pinch nerve in my back. So now the question is what is going on what should I do now . I've been in continues pain in my knee for 11/2 and numbness in my big toe don't know what else to do .

@zinacheers Welcome to Connect. The question I would ask is how were you right after your first and second surgeries? Did you wake up from surgery with the knee pain and numbness in your toe or did that come later? Was there a reason they looked at your spine as a probable cause? If you want to get a second opinion, you may want to do that at another medical institution that has no association with where your surgery was done. A neurologist can test you to determine if there is a nerve problem anywhere along the pathway from the spine to your toe. I am just a patient and can share my experiences with similar testing. I am not a medical professional. Does this sound like a plan?
The pain and numbness came after the second surgery. And they did a procedure to see if I had a pinch nerve that was causing it.but there was no pinch nerve. I see my primary doctor this week I was going to ask her for another doctor to look at this. Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
You're welcome. Numbness can also happen if they accidentally cut a nerve in surgery or the surgery itself cuts a nerve and couldn't otherwise be done. My husband had some melanoma on his hand and surgery to remove it that took all the skin layers down to muscle and bone. His pinky finger is numb on the outside half, since that nerve was probably removed with the tissue they took, but with cancer surgery, you do what you have to do.
