Sigh, there have been some crafty critters who've made the jump above the guard. I moved it up to about 5 ft in height and it helped some but it's been knocked down on the ground a few times. I'm thinking of getting a new pole and making it a little higher but then that also makes it harder for me to fill the feeders 🙂 I've had to go out with my cordless snow shovel in the winter when the snow was heavy and clear it around the feeder. When the snow gets higher is when they can jump above the guard.

I don't see the indigo buntings often but they are really one of my favorites besides the pileated woodpecker.
