Hello @lakeside26, I see that you have been dealing with peripheral neuropathy pain in your feet since 2017 and you are looking for help. You mentioned in your first post that your symptoms were burning or hot feet. Did you read what other members shared in the discussion I posted in my response to your question? There is no real cure for neuropathy (in my non medical opinion). There are only treatments that can provide relief from your neuropathy symptoms. When you were diagnosed with neuropathy in 2017, did your doctor or neurologist start you on any medications?
@johnbishop
i’ve probably asked you this before but how is your balance? I’m asking because of your numbness. Physical Therapist said that feeling in your feet is very important for balance.
Also, are you familiar with CET, Combination Electroanalgesia Therapy for Neuropathy and it's effectiveness?
Thanks Jake

Hi Jake @jakedduck1, I still have balance issues but I normally can compensate by taking some precautions. The biggest help for me is when I first get up out of a chair and stand up or when I've been standing for awhile and start walking, I take the first few steps slower than normal (hey, some might call this ambling 🙂). I'm especially cautious in the Winter time and am pretty adept at doing the senior shuffle. I think daily exercise helps a lot but walking is not one I can do a lot of due to my lower back.
I'm not familiar with Combination Electroanalgesia Therapy (CET) but I think it is similar to the Scrambler Therapy and there is a discussion about it where others might be able to answer any questions or share their experience - Has anyone tried Scrambler Therapy for neuropathy or for pain?: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/calmare-scrambler-therapy-anyone/
My wife has Idiopathic neuropathy and her pain is severe in her hands and in her leg and feet. She has used all the medications which her doctors have prescribed and nothing seems to get her out of pain. She isn't able to sleep at night and is wore down by the pain. Any help would be appreciated.

This is what I do: Get your Dr or another to prescribe 120 tablets (a 30 day supply) Oxicodone APAP 5/325. DO NOT OVERU5E S this is a rigidly controlled substance by your pharmacist❗️Take one with abundant glasses of water every 4 hours, for instance 8AM, 12, 4, 8. Take an over the counter stool softener along with each pill as this is the principal side effect. Warm baths, application of Aveeno moisturizing lotion to affected limbs as needed with massage is helpful. Consume 1 sleepaide pill at bedtime if needed.
I hope this helps.

Our pain clinic will not prescribe oxicodone and her body has issues with burning up one minute and freezing the next minute . She has to wear gloves almost all of the time due to a sensation of freezing on the inside.

Try to find a sympathetic physician who will prescribe Oxycodone APAP 5/325 times 120 for 1 month’s prescription. This is IMPORTANT even if it costs you some $. It works, and emphasize with a prescribing Dr it will not be ABUSED❗️
