Did you have a HIDA scan? I am having the same type of problem with belching. My HIDA scan EF was 83% and told it was normal. Not so according to the studies I've read. I have been and am being treated for borderline SIBO. At this time, it's only the methane type. But diet, supplements, drugs don't change my problem much. Trying to get a referral to Mayo. I think it could be my gallbladder. If you haven't had a HIDA scan, see if your doc will give you one. Then get a copy of the results. From what I've read, too high or low can be a problem.

@dfulwyler Good luck getting into Mayo Jacksonville, even with referral. I’m on waitlist 9 weeks. I was going to HIDA scan but I can’t lay down the 3 hours for it ( still) w/o belching deep for all that time . You must lay still they said or test is void . I get anxiety laying down too long w/o being able to move anyway.
So are you going to see a Surgeon and get Gallbladder removed ? I wish I could do that and all these 3000 belches a day / night w/ non stop churning gut would finally go away after 7.5 long hard years .

If they could knock me out for the scan , I’d do it , they won’t .
So after a dozen other tests through years , I’m still in same spot. 🙁
