According to my reading pomegranate is good for your kidneys, as is lemonade. However, since I am on immunosuppressants for my transplant, I do not consume pomegranate. It interferes with the efficacy of the immunosuppressants.

@reale Here is a link from an article by kidney.org, about pomegranate juice. It is high in potassium, so if your blood work shows you have issues with that, you might want to check with your dr. https://www.kidney.org/news/ekidney/january12/PomogranateJuice

Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I am curious the reason for your kidney disease? I am Stage 4 due to a rare kidney disease that is blocking the filtering component. Right now my eGFR is 24%.
