What's outside of your picture window today?
As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?
For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

@ess77 One busy person. I live a small apartment complex and avoid the gatherings for cuppas and gossip. No one into birds as I am or plants. I hang out with myself and don't mind as it is wiser and safer for me. Getting quite a bit of artwork done-just for fun as galleries etc. are not my thing. I have not set up my watering station as of yet, I feel some better with the humidity and heat.
Back to my Turmeric tea and watercolor.
Glad to have helped you out about the House Finches. You likely have realized they are voracious and greedy as well.
Well I actually have something outside my window! These are my peonies. I have 5 bushes this color and 4 of red ones. They are both totally different. I may have to get some more!
Becky, look at those lovely blooms and all the baby 'buds' waiting to make your home more beautiful. I love peonies abut can't grow them here, so send more pics when you can. Looks like you have the soil and temps and location to make them happy, so plant more....can't wait to see the red ones.
Blessings and thanks for sharing.
Just took picture of my Vanda orchid on my patio. It's in full bloom right now. Will send pic asap.
Please note: I got call from Mayo and CT angiogram was ok this morning. But, it was only for the aortic aneurysm basically, re surgeon. Nurse told me with symptoms I'm having, to go NOW to ED for work-up as it can't be done as outpatient like I wanted. So, folks, I'm on the way to the ED, after I p/u my son's meds for him. I'll drive there and hope to come home tomorrow I guess as these things go. Will be a good thing to get answers and treatment so I can go walking again!!!
Bless you all. elizabeth
Cute birdhouse, too.
Blessings, elizabeth
Thank goodness for my phone! Busy here and bored....ess
Beautiful. These are the most interesting flowers. We have them right at the edge of the river bank. It appears that they were planted years ago when there was a small building sitting right behind them. We have also found some porch poles and granite slabs. You know you are in "the granite city" everywhere you look. I am afraid they won't show up in the spring but they do. Thanks for sharing Becky. I have never seen red ones.
Be content and at peace.
Chris
Those are my favorite color because they remind me of Mom, Grandma and our old Polish- neighbor. I just cut a bouquet of my pale pink ones because they weren't too happy in the heat, so I'm enjoying them on the dining room table.

I think I counted 22 plants blooming here today - but a lot are natives that don't like to be cut.

@artist01 @ess77 @jakedduck1 What’s for breakfast today? Cattails and aquatic weeds. Caught this young doe yearling in the middle of a munch. Water still dribbling off her chin whiskers. ☺️
