Hello @ellen307

I can imagine that this must have felt like a "rocky road" as you said. MG and diabetes represent difficult dual diagnoses. A blood sugar of 1800 is very high.

Are you now under the care of an endocrinologist? If not, please get a referral to one. An endocrinologist is the best doctor to see for a diabetes problem, especially given your two diagnoses.

It would be a good idea to ask for a referral to a registered dietician as well. They can help you with planning an eating plan to keep your blood sugar better controlled.

If you care to share more, what type of symptoms were you having prior to knowing you had Type II diabetes? Are you now taking oral medications or insulin?

Yes I m under the care of a great Endocrinologist, taking 2meds, my main issue has been getting enough carbs in me as not to loose wt. I dropped 12 lbs really cannot afford to under 90 lbs. cannot eat a lot of veggies have GI issues n reflux, acid indigestion. Have weak voice muscle dr wants me to try voice therapy as well pulmonary weak . Gee feel like I’m a complete mess. But trying to main carb not cheat as my friends tell me to do as they feel it will not hurt, but I do. Appreciate comment n suggestion ellen307
