Hi everyone. My UK neurologist and Belgian neurologist believe the vaccine caused my pin and needles after Moderna first shot. One thinks I should get 2nd dose, the other told me not to. I am seeing a third one to take my decision... neuropathy is not an easy thing to accept from a vaccine...Willkeep you posted.

I am a huge advocate for getting the Covid vaccination. I have three autoimmune diseases and had a liver transplant nine months ago. When my transplant hospital first offered the vaccines for us, I jumped at the opportunity.

I started to develop PN in November last year, likely due to an autoimmune disease. After the first shot, my PN increased significantly. It reduced some, but increased again after the second in early March. And, continues to get worse. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my first visit with the neurologist until after getting both shots. He was not surprised I had such a reaction.

Researchers now tell us liver transplant people we are unlikely to be fully protected, if it all. Thus, for me personally, I would not have chosen to have the second shot, had I known I would have such a reaction, compounded by so little protection. I live in Vermont where we have almost 80% vaccination rate. I’m used to being cautious and will have to continue being masked indoors anyway.
