🥰🥰🥰thank you so much for taking the time out to speak with me, I’m definitely ready to try something different to help with this, for all these years I haven’t been ashamed to take medication, I’ve been Scared that it will make me feel worse, I read into the medication to much and all I could think of is it making me have suicidal thoughts so I’ve been scared of it. But at this point I’m tired of suffering and I want nothing but to feel better so that I can take care of my parents me

@shaleta30 May I ask what anxiety medication was prescribed for you? There are some that are better tolerated without significant side effects and also easier to taper off when needed.

I can relate to the anxiety caused by reading labels on these drugs! I don’t blindly take the meds I’m prescribed because knowledge is power. But truly, if I read every word of some of the meds I’m still taking, I’d be a ball of mush and scared to death too! I’ve had to do a sea-change on medications and look at them as a Quality of Life adjunct because they are keeping me FROM dying. I’m able to enjoy the life I do have right now for as long as I can because of them.
You’re worried you could feel worse while taking them. When I read this, my heart goes out to you because I think you’re suffering so much already. Take another try speaking to a good therapist. They may recommend a psychiatrist who will work with you to prescribe an anxiety med to suit your situation and help you feel comfortable with that decision.
This may help alleviate your fear of taking the pills. ☺️
