Tengo muchas dudas y preguntas acerca de los tratamientos q se ofrecen para personas como yo q me acabo de enterar q tengo metástasis y está atacando la vertebra 10 y yo ya tuve un programa de radiología por 41 sesiones, pero el Cáncer volvió y con
Metástasis esta semana me dirán q es el tratamiento a seguir, esta es mi primera vez aquí y la verdad estoy desesperado y quisiera saber si alguien q paso por esto me podría decir q hacer. Gracias

English Translation: I have many doubts and questions about the treatments that are offered for people like me who just found out that I have metastasis and it is attacking the vertebra 10 and I already had a radiology program for 41 sessions, but the Cancer returned and with Metastasis this week they will tell me that it is the treatment to follow, this is my first time here and the truth is I am desperate and I would like to know if someone who went through this could tell me what to do. I’m taking the Xtandi 160 mg daily and after 3 weeks my PSA came down.

Good morning to everybody, I’m doing well not feeling anything different and I hope to be in this stage for long time, my life have been very relaxed, specially emotionally very supportive from my family and a person that had been with me in any moment.

Juan, As you know, Provenge is the brand name for sipuleucel-T, an autologous cellular immunotherapy used to treat late-stage prostate cancer that no longer responds to hormone therapy (metastatic castrate resistant).

@ken82 posted information about the approval of this drug here https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/255858/, but I'm not sure if he has had it offered as a treatment. While we wait to see if other members have experience with Provenge, you may appreciate this information:

I already started and I do feel well, tired the second day but it’s normal, no side effects, very calm and relaxing after all going this monday again .

I stated 2 weeks ago and I had the white blood cells putted back to my body I’m going for my second this Monday and on Thursday I will get the either cell out back the the last one will be on Teo weeks after and that will be it. So far no side effects feeling good.

Tuve la cita y llevé a un buen amigo y my partner estuvo en una video llamada desde Oregon para apoyarme, lo q el dr. Me dijo: la metástasis se desparramó por la espalda hasta la vértebra 10, y el Cáncer q tengo es agresivo, se me dijo q voy a estar un tratamiento de por vida con u a inyección cada 6 meses y una pastilla diaria, se me pregunto si tenia dolor en alguna parte de mi cuerpo y respondí q no, y es la verdad, por esa parte el dr Se mostró optimista y mi pareja hizo algunas preguntas de si se me ivan a monitorear, y el dr. Respondió q si, voy a tener un estudio del hígado para ver cómo se encuentra y tengo cita dentro de 2 meses para empezar el tratamiento, pregunte q si cuanto tiempo tengo de vida y el dr. Dijo q puedo vivir de 10 o hasta 15 años, pero creo q fue optimista, pero estoy realista y se q no sucederá asi, todos en la junta me dijeron q es una buena noticia , la verdad soy muy positivo y voy a seguir disfrutando cada día como si fuera el último, seguir haciendo ejercicio y comiendo

Tengo cancer de prostata, todavia sin tratamiento. Me gustaría saber que clase de inyección es esa de cada 6 meses y que pastilla diaria es la que tomas. Si me das los nombres te agradecería. Vivo en Canada, a lo mejor los nombres son diferentes acá.
