Hello @bamma
I read with interest your post about internal shaking/vibrations. I see that you have been evaluated quite well for neurological problems and I see that John (@johnbishop) has given you some great ideas and research links to read.
While I know that you said that Parkinson's (PD) has been ruled out, I wanted to provide you with some other information. I've been diagnosed with PD but it is definitely atypical in symptoms. I have gait/balance problems. Sometimes I walk in a staggering fashion. I've also had PD voice problems and other typical PD symptoms but without tremors. As a result of being in PD support groups, I've found that many people have what is referred to as "internal tremors" or the shaking/vibrating inside their body, but not outward tremors. At first, doctors called it anxiety and gave them anti-anxiety meds (the worst thing for PD) and/or sent them to a psychiatrist, etc. It wasn't until the movement symptoms became more noticeable that they got a PD diagnosis.
I'll share with you a post by one of our members who has PD that is related to his exposure to Agent Orange while he was in the military. His doctor called this internal shaking, muscle spasms.
While I'm certainly not trying to diagnose you and I'm not a medical professional it might be good for you to at least look at his post. Here is the link, https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/335142/.
Do you have any other movement problems besides this internal shaking, such as difficulty with balance, gait, walking, falls, etc.?
I'd like to know how you are coming along with this problem. Will you keep in touch?
I hope the medical cannabis is helping you. It really helps me with a lot of the Parkinson’s like symptoms. I have been utilizing for a couple of years for many ailments and for me it helps. I highly recommend - like the path you are following - to take the time to go the medical marijuana route and not recreational.
Hello @bamma, Welcome to Connect, an online community where patients and caregivers share their experiences, find support and exchange information with others. 10 years is a long time to be dealing with internal vibrations and not have any answers. It sounds like you have had a lot of different tests to rule out MS, Parkinson's and more.
I'm not sure if you have already seen this information but thought it could be useful or helpful for learning more about your condition.
