Hello, Chris. I love that you found a life partner at this time in your life. I was quite shocked when my life partner was in a car accident and died about 12 years ago! I have not thought about someone in the near present or future, but now, you are making me think a bit out of the box I must be in.....how did the two of you meet? Were you from the same area....know each other? Give me some pointers, although with so many health issues, it makes no sense any man would want to be in my world. But. as we're finding almost daily, life has many twists and turns and we must be ready to walk the path as it presents itself, right? That's true for the changes in health and illnesses, I'm finding in the growing to be better changes in health of all kinds.....so, here you go. You, my dear friend, have awakened a tiny bit of my brain to the joys of something new. I don't want to spend the rest of whatever years I have alone, as I am, so I think I have just put that part of my life in my Lord's hands as well as the other parts. Interesting.....God is so wonderful, how He uses us to open up avenues in other's lives. You just did....bless you.

Good evening dear one. I am so glad my introduction of Jay, my life partner, struck a positive chord. Jay is from Minnesota, an artist, a therapist, a generous human. I met him on E-harmony. Every once in a while, you are given a minute to see a brief summary of someone who may live outside your boundaries (I lived on a mountain in CA.) If you say o.k., you have a minute to see a profile and then you must decide. I said....oh what the heck, let's see what we have in common.

As it turned out we had a lot in common and some cultural differences. He had lived in two states and was 5 years younger. He loved nature, dogs, art, and children. I had lived in 9 states including Hawaii and traveled on business for years. I loved art. dogs, children, golf, and mountains.

We have been together for 8 years now and have enjoyed most of it including the COVID year. We really got to know each other then and have built a trusting relationship turning 7 acres on the Mississippi into a park along with some great neighbors. We also started a "Count on me Club" with the neighbors....always available to help and share.

I wouldn't change a thing....including the cold winter, conservative culture, and hunting activities. We are just great buddies. Give it some thought.

G'night.
Chris
