Hello, Toni. I'm soooo jealous you have an Arizona trip planned. Oh, to be a fly on the window going with you. Guess I'd be blown off, tho, but I so want to go. That's no longer an option, but I do everything possible to make my life in Florida the best it can be. I walk as I can, I use the PT heated therapy pool for an hour 2X weekly, beginning again soon after having some procedures and tests.
Yes, exercise and moving. Sarcoid, chronic bronchitis, gastro issues, fibro, herniated lumbar, cervical and thoracic discs, aortic anuerysm, and whatever are keeping me home, but not down. I'm getting better and better, then a few steps back then better.....so, as you see, this isn't anything new to my body.
I'll keep going until everything gets too tired and stops. Love it!
Blessings in your journey. elizabeth
Good morning Elizabeth @ess77. I can empathize with the difficulties you face with your health day to day. We do what we can to keep going. I have issues with double vision which affects my balance. Looking down makes my eyes stressful to the point they burn. As a result, my motion sickness increases limiting my activities. It is so good to hear your positive attitude. Don’t give up hope with traveling. Technological advancements have made it possible to see places anyway. May be in the future we will be able to feel as well. I would definitely welcome you to be a fly on my wall. We(my husband and I) were hoping to travel this year but now listening to possible gas shortages due to the lack of drivers, we are postponing the trip till next year. Things should be better by then plus I will have had corrective eye surgery. I certainly don’t want to chance being stuck anywhere during our long trip with our RV. Three years ago we took our RV to Colorado to visit family. My aunt, in her 80s, enjoyed walking with a walker and swimming in a heated pool to help decrease her pain. Her daughters lived nearby and often took her to the pool or walked with her.
Along the way to Colorado we stopped in other states to see friends. It was a great way to travel by having our own home and watching out our window for wildlife.
In florida we have stayed overnight at several state parks to watch nature. We love it!
I am excited to visit our daughter in Arizona. I hope see remains in Arizona until our trip next year. You know how kids can be. Her job brought her there. Did your son eventually move to a healthier climate or does he live near you? Keep taking care of yourself! Wish you well. Toni
