Increased numbness with decreased humidity?

Hi Toni, Here's what I think may be an easy to understand and not too technical explanation of what may be happening that I found on this website - https://crtherapy.com/neuropathy-blog/why-do-neuropathy-symptoms-get-worse-when-it-rains/
"Actually, the neuropathy isn’t worse . . . it’s arthritis! You see, when it’s humid (the barometric pressure changes), the fluid in your bursas/joints, etc. expands, causing an immediate increase in the pressure in the joints/joint capsules. This increased pressure squeezes nerves. The nerves then start “firing” to let you know they are not happy!"

It kind of makes sense and there are other sites that may be more science based 🙂

Higher humidity does bother me but I can't tell that my numbness is any worse.

You’re a wealth of information and very helpful resources! Thank you as always!

@johnbishop thanks for the information . In my case it developed immediately following my AVM and neuropathy. Never had the numbness issue prior. So very strange it would be caused by arthritis. Last winter I visited a colder state for a week. The numbness felt worse with the colder temperatures. I had a heater on so the humidity was low for a few days. Just curious. Something else to think about. Thanks again John.

John, I am a walking, talking, swelling, hurting, painful testimant to this concept! I should not be living in sunny, humid, lovely Florida. Heat gets me in many ways, but the humidity is a killer to breathing, arthritis, swelling, asthma, bronchitis, and so much more. I wasn't made for the humidity...NOR was I made for the cold. Cold is extremely painful for me, my joints and muscles and whole body.
I almost moved many years ago to Arizona to help my son with his breathing issues. Had I done that, I would have saved myself a lot of painful times as well.
One of the woulda', coulda', shoulda' times we have in our lives.
I'm loving Florida, just hurting! bless you, elizabeth
