@merpreb The deer and fox wander by. There normally are no scraps around; my pitching arm doesn't throw too far, so maybe 20 feet into the open field, wherever it may land.

Yep, in an area where we have deer and elk hunting seasons, feeding them is punishable by law. The prey animals sometimes have to have a hunter come in if people's farm animals are being attacked. We have two big kitties around here, and several sittings of black bear with cubs.
