Hi, yes I read that article hence my reaching out to mayoclinic. I am curious as to the approach drs at Mayo advise. My dr. Initially when my hemoglobin was around 7.5 and other numbers were low, said to wait until we retake bloodwork. But I approached her in email last week and she said to get the vaccine I don’t have to wait. However no further explanation.
Thanks !

I just read your messages and wonder what the doctors' thoughts are about your question? My patient head and thinking say to me that I want to be able to get the best results possible. And, it seems the importance of iron and other such are pretty important to your inflammatory system and others.

I have worked the last 2+ years to raise my ferrous levels from very low, similar to yours, as well as potassium, magnesium, sodium, kidney and liver functions, etc. And, it took that long to get the iron levels in the low normal range without IV therapy. The doc told me it takes a very long time for iron to metabolize and be absorbed and get the number up. She was right, but I came close to IV treatment.

During these years I also found other diagnoses that caused my adrenal glands to not perform properly and had time to get that resolved before the vaccine issue arose.

Maybe she wants you to have the vaccine level of protection now and not wait until the numbers are up. Only way to know is to ask her.....I'd have to know her thinking before getting the vaccine. Then, if I agreed, get it as fast as possible and get on with improving these other areas.

That makes sense to me. Blessings in your search for answers....elizabeth
