What's outside of your picture window today?
As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?
For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

@loribmt I’m waiting to see the quilt you’re going to make! Gorgeous photos! Are you the photographer?
I love these pictures but I sure don’t see them outside my window! Here’s what I’m ‘enjoying.’
@becsbuddy @ess77 @johnbishop @jakedduck1
Thank you for the compliments. I am the photographer. My camera is almost always with me. If not, then my phone is there for backup.
Honestly, I’m just capturing what Mother Nature provides. I walk miles daily and never know what I’m going to find while out, or looking out the window!
I’m happy to share my photos here if it doesn’t get to be annoying.
Nature is where I turn for healing and my photos become lasting moments of happiness or peace or encouragement.
Becky, oh gosh, quilts~art and traditional, are always ruminating in my head!! Not enough time in the day or space on the walls! 😉
So far there are quilts of bear, loons, deer, cattails/lilipads...and a couple of abstracts.
Is this today?? Yikes! We got a little snow this morning but you’re looking like winter, not spring!! Nasty!! Great picture though! I can feel the chill! Brrrr.
@loribmt This year we got a 3-week permit to gather slash and downed small trees from the BLM land. It is an hour drive in 4WD Jeep hauling utility trailer. The views are truly majestic, seeing wave upon wave of timber march along ridgelines. They have clearcut some large swaths, but I do understand the concept of responsible harvesting. They are not building in these backlands.
Looks like we might be eagle-watching in our nearby trees! Mated pair is trying to build a nest! Yippee!

Beautiful!, Becky...love the rainy days....blessings on this lovely day. elizabeth
Help me understand. Clear cutting swaths, clearing areas but not destroying the entire area? Isn't that a good thing re prevention of fires, etc and in Florida, the timber companies plant the land they harvest so we don't loose all the trees. and of course they don't run out of future harvests....please explain what your permit allows you to do?
Hope you do have a new nest and take some pics to share....I must learn how to do that. blessings, elizabeth
