@morningstar79 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, a place to give and get support.

You'll notice that I moved your question to an existing discussion. I did this so you could connect with members like @avmcbella @steeldove @sunnyflower @lweave2@sunshining @jesfactsmon @jeffrapp who have similar symptoms and may be able to offer you information and support.

May I ask if you have any medical issues that may be causing the stiffness and if anything has changed regarding how or where you are walking lately? Is it uphill for example?

Hello @morningstar79. Welcome to Connect! I am very sorry to hear you are having tight calf muscles and the pain that goes with that. I was thinking some heat and gentle massage and gentle stretching and then some gentle walking. I hope you find something to help. Warmest wishes, Sunny flower

I understand. I can only walk about 25 to 50 yards and my calf muscles lock up and I need to stop for about 5 minutes to rejuvenate. Lonnie

Hi. I get this from the waist down n huge muscle knots that are dreadful. The diagnosis was small fiber neuropathy post surgery n following a broken neck fusion. It will continue to progress if it’s neuropathy. I’ve been fighting doctors 21 yrs now - some even screaming at me like it was my fault somehow. Massage, use magnesium spray n increase magnesium, calcium n potassium if no med conflict. Get a thyroid check because hypothyroid can cause neuropathy symptoms. Read all you can because doctors don’t care. If your lucky you may find a good one. If it gets worse Baclofen helps me the most.
