Hello. Olaf49 here. New to this site. Chronic Pain Sufferer of 46 years. I have benefited from having been able to receive help from a Chronic Pain Clinic in Calgary Alberta Canada. I'm 61 years old and I would like to be of help to other Chronic Pain Sufferers who may be able to benefit from someone who has coped with this for most of my life.

I have Scoliosis, and two lateral curves in my spine; one between my shoulder blades and one in my lower back. I woke up one morning in 1975 with back pain that never went away. I tried to get help but basically was told it was all in my head. My parents bought into this and being an only child without support I convinced myself that for some reason I was here to suffer and determined to live life to the fullest for as long as I could. My back pain never prevented me from doing anything, but the way I was initially attended to I developed a very negative attitude in regards to the Medical Profession and accumulated multiple chronic injuries over the years from participating in sports, extreme outdoor activities, repetitive movement injuries from hard labor and sometimes being a complete idiot. I rarely got injuries looked at and when I did I usually ignored medical advice. So, now besides chronic back pain I have also multiple chronic injuries from head to foot.
