Skin rash and pain
Hello Everyone, Was diagnosed earlier this year with Idiopathic Small Fiber Nephropathy, confirmed with the skin/nerve test on my right leg. Curious to know if any one is experiencing a red rash on arms, legs and chest? it is itchy, and painful.
I also get the pins and needles sensation when i start exercising. it is very uncomfortable but does not occur every day. Does that occur for others?
Thank you in advance!

Hi, I just joined to find out why my Left upper chest is breaking out in a painful red rash. I’ve have had peripheral neuropathy due to breast cancer radiation in 1999, it was mild in 2005, now full on. I had rash’s on my back last year, now chest. Starts with those “Bee Stings”, then deep itching, it’s moving up towards neck. I would like to be in a conversation to understand and help what’s happening. I cannot be on any Gabapentan variable. Thank you.
Hello @robin0613, Welcome to Connect. It sounds like the rash you are describing is very painful similar to hives. There are a couple of discussions that you might find helpful and be able to learn what others with similar symptoms have shared.

Thank you John for your reply. I saw my GP next day and he said it was shingles (I question this). . I’d had my first shot in December. I was waiting to get Covid 1&2 done (jan&feb). I’ve had hives, theses are red dots that open painfully usually in a cluster on my legs and left arm (where my peripheral Neuropothy originates). First time I’ve had these in such a large cluster.
My wife's twin sister had a shingles outbreak on her face shortly after her first COVID vaccine. She hasn't gotten a shingles vaccine yet but I think she is now. My wife and I both have received both COVID shots and our first Shingrix vaccine. I definitely do not want to get shingles.
