Changing Times - How Do You Handle It?
These past 13+ months have been a real challenge for everyone, perhaps even more so for those on the autism spectrum! The COVID pandemic has outlined our lives and how we lived. As the calendar pages turned, we found ourselves perhaps feeling afloat and even more isolated than usual. For some, the idea of isolation was not new, and we felt better prepared for that than many neurotypical people.
And now, we have a new platform here at Mayo Connect. It is more user friendly, they say, easier to navigate. For someone who is really not very technical minded, I have found myself floundering a bit. But I still want to literally connect with all of you, you have been on the journey with me!
Let's talk about this new Mayo Connect format, what you find challenging about it? Let's share how you are coping with your area's slow recovery and how it may be starting to reopen as the worst of the pandemic. What have you learned about yourself?

Hallelujah! I have been having extreme difficulty in connecting with each
and every one of you.
The pandemic really did a number on me. I almost lost my husband and
daughter during this time. It's been really hard getting back to "normal."
Hope I can "reconnect" once again.
I have missed you all so much.
Mamacita
@mamacita We have surely missed you and your wisdom, too! But taking care of yourself and your loved ones has to come first.
So many of us are still reeling from the effects of this pandemic. Please come back when you can 😉 How can we help?
Ginger
Yes, @mamacita, it's so good to hear from you! You provide such a compassionate voice to our Connect community. Post whenever you can, even if it's just once a week or once a day! We love you and have missed you beyond measure!!
As soon as I can clear up a difficulty in registering for Connect, I will
be posting as soon as possible. Connect does not recognize my email
address as legitimate.
Brain fog and being overwhelmed has been my state of being for so long. My
loved ones almost died. ICU for over three months. Daughter still on
oxygen has a trache and is in a vent care facility.
I frankly burned out in every area of my life. But I can see the light at
the end of the,tunnel now.
Love you all so...
Mamacita
@mamacita, you do not have to register for Mayo Clinic Connect again. You are already posting perfectly, which means you are signed in with your account successfully.
So happy to see you here again. I hope to journey with you towards that light at the end of the tunnel.
