I am getting close to needing to replace my everyday shoes with ones that are comfortable yet offer some stability to help with my sometimes balance issues. I know a few of you have mentioned also having balance problems and thought I would find out if anyone has found some new favorites. Currently I'm looking into Sketchers slip-ons (hate tying shoe laces!).

@retiredteacher @lois6524 @lauraj155 @james4753xerxes and anyone else have some new favorites that help feel comfy on your feet?

@johnbishop Hello, John. I have had balance and falling problems for years now. Finding the right shoes is tough. I've settled now on one shoe, Sketchers slip-ons only. I've bought several new pairs on-line the last few months, began as part of Chris's page re being good to yourself. I bought shoes....

The ones I use are slip-on, look pretty good, not too old ladyish. I can't tie or use velcro closures due to limited hand use. They make some that are cut low enough on the top, instep, at least for women, that make it easy to slip into and fit the instep nicely. They work better for me due to fit and because my feet swell daily, they accommodate that issue. I also have an older pair that's stretched I wear when my feet are too swollen.

I like the light weight of the shoe, the arch supports vary by design, but I find them all to be varying degrees of comfort and coolness, which is one of the benefits as well. The online site offers a lot of sales, discounts, and delivery/returns are great, fast, free, dependable.

I, as a want-a' be fashion plate, ha, got some crazy ones that have a bit of pzzzzzaz. Doubt that's an issue for you...
Hope this helps you or others.

Blessings, John and all. elizabeth
