@lisalucier I actually see my Psychiatrist every two weeks, my mental health nurse drops by often and I'm in ongoing psychotherapy for a long time now. I have been on numerous medication since 2010 when my Mum's death from Colon Cancer saw my symptoms take a turn for the worse. I was prescribed Valium, Ativan, Stilnoct, Zimovane, Xanax, Haloperidol, Seroquel, Zyprexa, Zoloft, Lyrica, Chlorpromazine and a weekly Clopixol injection at different stages in the past eight years. I was on a cocktail of them because of my rage, self harm and my suicide attempts (In 2014 I ended up in Intensive Care after an overdose of Seroquel, Haloperidol and Zimovane. I woke three days later with a tube down my throat and caught pnuemonia on top of it all. I'm working very hard with my mental health team and things are improving drastically and I am off all those medications, although they did help at the time. I hope this answers your question,

Ed

@yangedd, good to hear things are improving drastically. You've been through an awful lot with all the symptoms, the variety of different medications and spending time in intensive care.

I wanted to introduce you to @oprah - not the celebrity, but a fellow Connect member who has a diagnosis of BPD, intermittent explosive disorder and bipolar.

I also thought I'd invite @parus to join the conversation.
