I'm a 59 year old female and have had the same issues since March 2011. Started with sinus infection. I've had no-spinning, but dizzy and balance. CT Scan, heart, angiogram, EKG, EEG all good. Ear,Nose & Throat (ENT) Specialist diagnosed me with Vestibular Optic Reflex. My eyes feel like they are trying to cross, nausea, blur vision and sounds drive me crazy. Life changing for me. I've seen every doc imagineable...can't find a cure. I'm working with Physical Therapist for the balance which is better. The other, no. My neurologist agreed with the ENT diagnosis. I'm just not so sure. My ears have ringing sensation, my eyes feel like they are trying to focus, but can't. The PT and ENT continue to reassure me that the inner ear hairs are getting a wrong signal - telling my brain that I'm moving, when I'm not, which cause my eyes to google around too. It's just been horrible, so I can empathize with you. Recommended Zofran for nausea. Meccalizine for motion. 2mg Xanax for nervousness. I even had a tooth extracted that I thought could be causing the problem with the 8th Cranial Nerve....nope. I sure hope we find answers. Good luck to you, I hope you learn something new to help you.

Since my last reply I've seen a neurologist and had another MRI, but with dye this time. It takes forever to get appointments and results this year. After many calls the neurologist's nurse finally called and said the MRI looked normal. I am waiting now to get into the Mayo clinic's Dizziness and Balance dept. I'm sure another couple months out the way it's been going. I take Ativan once a day which helps reduce symptoms for awhile to get through the work day. If I ever get this figured out I'll definately be sharing that information. I never see any followup information from people that have returned to normal on this or any of the other sites I've read. Hope we get some positive answers soon.

hello, i know this is a long shot but have you been cured, treated, or properly diagnosed yet? i have struggled with the same thing for the last eight months but as 21 year old my life has came to an immediate stop.
