@thumperguy Hi there. Aspergillus is one of the other fungal things we mac patients can sometimes pick up. Another one to look out for is pseudomonas. You can enter these key words in the search box at the top of this page and it should bring up past posts on the subject. Are you asking about it because it showed up in your labwork?

@thumperguy I had pseudomonas in 2016, was treated and it was gone in 30 days. I also had picked up another fungal type around 2013, but I cannot remember the name of it. Anyhow, the antibiotics I went on for mac took care of it.(can click on my photo icon to read about my treatment plan) It is common for patients with bronchiectasis and/or mac to also be suseptible to other fungals and mycobacteriums. I remain on maintenance antibiotics to this day to keep misc infections away.
