My most recent was air fried asparagus others have been from green beans, tamales, coconut, oranges, pop corn
Low residue diet. I recently had my 7th bowel obstruction in 3 years. Having lysis of adhesions in 2 weeks. No nuts, seeds, fruit or vegetable skins unless thoroughly cooked. Not very appetizing, but better than an obstruction. I find protein drinks in grocery store. Premier Protein has 30 grams of protein. Good luck.
@carlan52: I am diabetic & a friend recommended Premier Protein drink to me. It is my only luxury… drinking only a couple sips controls any low blood sugar readings… it is my breakfast everyday and adds the 30 gm protein with only 1 gm sugar. I think it is the best product of this type being sold. I love the Chocolate, but there are many flavors. Best…
I have had 3 sbo in the past 3 years. My GI doctors prescribed 2 drugs. Jamp Prucalopride 2mg daily plus Jamp Pyridostigmine 1/3 tablet 3 times a day. Each tablet is 60 mg. I have not had a problem since last October. I also take Restoralax daily.
Low residue diet which is low fiber, no more than 2 grams per serving. No raw veggies, fruits with skins, seeds, no nuts etc. Mayo should have access to a complete low residue diet online. Also I lived on Boost Breeze while I had blockages. I have undergone 5 intestinal surgeries in the past 2 years. I ordered it on Amazon, since you can’t find it in stores. It is clear, and has 9 grams of protein in each box. Very tasty as well.
