Anyone have good results w cervical and lumbar Ablation? If so how long does it last.

Anyone had a cervical or lumbar Ablation and how long they last?

Hello. Yes, I have had several cervical and occipital ablations, and one lumbar nerve block. Each ablation helped minimally, to the point I chose to keep going back to try again and hope for more, longer lasting relief. Eventually they became the root of more pain and I inevitably was diagnosed with Small Fiber Poly Neuropathy.

Ablations can last from months to a year or more. Mine got me through until insurance said the next would be covered. I wish you good luck, if you are going to give a whirl.

Hello @bebop, I'd like to add my welcome to @rwinney's and invite @jmweissler, @barbara94, and @sandytoes14 to this discussion to share their experiences with ablation. @bebop, what sort of pain are you having that you are considering an ablation procedure done to help?

Cervical neck pain. Had to cancel procedure today. Fell last night and was in ER.
Saw Oral Surgeon this am. I have 2 fractures in jaw but will wait 2 mths to see if heals on its own.
