I have invasive ductal cancer with 3/7 metastatic nodes with one eroding. The second lesion in the second breast is "neuroendocrine differentiation." What can I do to not have metastases elsewhere?

The neuroendocrine differentiation is unsettling to you, I imagine. If I had such a diagnosis, I think that I would push (hard) for genetic testing to see what I may have inherited that could be playing a part in all this -- for example, certain syndromes like multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 or 2, Von Hippel-Lindau disease, tuberous schlerosis, or neurofibromatosis. Ruling such things out might bring more confidence going forward with the treatment options offered.

Many of us risk mets at any time, which is frustrating and troubling to both patients and oncologists alike. I wish you blessings and the best outcome on this journey.

@elizm Thank you but that has already been done. NET ususally presents elsewhere, such as colon or liver, but in rare instances it presents in the breast. It is a wait and watch-type of diagnosis and once located elsewhere is treated with chemo used for lung cancers.

Great question that is often discussed in the group on Connect. I submitted your question. It sounds like Dr. Mussallem is going to talk about side effects of hormonal therapy and may answer some of your questions during the presentation. Let me know if you have any specific questions, @roch.

Our video got blocked because Dr. Mussallem used a song from Trolls in her presentation. I'll upload it to YouTube and post it here. I will go live for the Q&A session and post the link here in a few minutes.
