Hi Tom @tom2017
Great question regarding the treatment options for foot drop. Here is general information from Mayo Clinic about treatment options https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/foot-drop/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20372633

What treatment have you tried?

Years back when my fall first happened I saw a Neurologist and he did some testing (electrical stimulation) and had me do PT.
I have been wearing a fitted brace on my left foot since. The feeling was after the PT I had what I was going to have.
I have had SEVERAL falls over the years and have been fortunate enough to have had no serious injuries.
I have serious back pain (L! through L5) involving my lower spine. It has developed into hip pain as well. I have no idea if these problems could be factor in the Foot Drop.
I am having X-rays and MRI's taken in the next few days. Your reply is my first positive interaction I have had to possible help.
I also have Ankylosing spondylisis. Diagnosed at age 42 current age is 77. Any back X-rays I have had show no fusing to date.
