Under the What resource, tool or support would you like to have to help you in your role as a Mentor category:
Thinking outside the box a little - sometimes I struggle when responding to a first time post or new discussion and I want to tag other members which begs the question who to tag. It's time consuming to search and not always easy to find. I think what would help me is if the Member directory for the Group/Discussion could be sorted in various ways - most/least active members, newest/oldest member posts, others? Otherwise my method is to try and find a post within the discussion that was directed to a first time poster. I think copy, paste and modify to fit the new welcome to Connect post I'm adding. Thoughts anyone? How do you do it?

@johnbishop I like where you are going with this. Rosemary

@johnbishop I also like this thought. Would it be possible to have the most/least active by page/group?

@johnbishop Everytime I welcome a new person to the community I wing it. I have read many Welcomes from other Moderators or Mentors. I always feel inadequate about it. I would love to have a Member Directory that I can refer to, also having a directory of which threads or areas each of us is following. Good ideas!

Well John. Your wish is my command. The Member Directory is the next thing that we are working on to improve. We just got the green light to fund the development. Be rest assured that you guys will be consulted. Currently, you can filter the entire Member Directory https://connect.mayoclinic.org/members/

Recently Active
New Members

1. There are over 60,000 members, so it's still not very useful even with these filters. These filters will be more useful when applied to the individual groups.
2. Recently Active includes all sorts of activities, like becoming a new member. I think just following a group should not be included as a recent activity since it is captured in New Members.
3. New Members, this is a useful filter

Let me share the early stages of our plan:
Objective: Improve UX, design and functionality of the Member Directory, using use cases from MCSMN, Connect, and Champions.

Use Cases
As a member, I want to find:
- People like me who share my interests
- Community leaders; influencers; knowledge brokers; helpers
- Most active members: people who are likely to be responsive, so I know they’re there
- New members so I can help welcome them

Specifically for Connect - I want to find people who have the same health interests/issues, take part in same groups; the moderators, mentors and superusers/most active in a given group or topic.

Whatchya all think?
