@newliver Before I was discharged the hospital gave me a packet with information, what to include and not to include in a letter to the donor family, etc. They gave me an envelope addressed to the local coordinator for me to send the letter to. They also suggested I wait a few months in hopes that although grief will never go away it might not be quite as painful.
It was the most difficult letter I ever wrote. I did it over a few days.
