In the past we were advised to always complete an antibiotic treatment even if we felt better that otherwise the infection could come back.. now there are different school of thoughts.. what is Mayo’s position on the subject?

Pls comment re: the potential adverse side effects (ADRs) of fluoroquinolone antibiotics including levofloxacin ("levaquin"). Merely having Ingested two, repeat, two levaquin pills (out of a total five-pill script) took a one-year bite out of my life and nearly killed me. I am met with "blank" or disparaging looks each time I raise before medical personnel my levaquin ADRs. The reluctance with which medical staff repeatedly have regarded my horror story re: the use of fluoroquinolones (and similar stories by other levaquin prescription-drug consumers with whom I have collaborated on-line) has lowered to "near-zero" my faith in the medical profession particularly in re: to the "benevolence" of the pharmaceutical industry. Your comments, pls!
