I have tried to lose weight for years and it seems impossible l think it is sometimes even the good foods you eat you can also gain weight and l know of course it's medicines but really don't know where these come from or what's in them. You go to the store and you know you should have low sodium no fructose and they mark on the labels they have none or reduced and it actually three times or more what they say is in it. They really don't want to comply and now that there is more health store popping up they have to keep in competition or they will lose money. So what is a good way to lose weight? I have seen so many who have surgery and you can only eat a certain amount and so many restrictions it's unbearable. And when I ask my doctors will this medicine may me gain weight, I find out it will so that's why l sat medicine and if you have a medical issues that you can't do much exercise and I know you can do as little as 10min a day but does that really do anything? I know it hard when you get older but he happens to young children. Now I am hearing more about farmers markets and that you to be a hit long ago. I guess that is the best way to.go. Are their any other better answers?

From my experience @techy is since I cut down on my carbs. Eating less bread etc. pasta. I will make spaghetti squash for my sauce now and of course cut down on my portions. I will watch my carbs and cutting down on my portions has helped me a great deal losing weight. I have lost it slowly because I don't exercise very much.

Thank you so much. I will have to start on that as soon as possible because Christmas is right here so I will go and get a smaller platform with the sections and I think that will help me with portion sizes and it night I will get up and snacks of course sweet snacks but I have some yogurt but not Greek yogurt I really don't care for the taste. And I have been drinking at least 48ozs of water a day. And l think I have fluid on my legs but maybe it can also be not walking as much but I definitely like what you said it encourages me that it can be done with motivation, change of habits and it doesn't come off right away.

Labels on processed foods can be very misleading. Number one rule: look at the SERVING SIZE FIRST. This can be a real shocker.
The second rule: AVOID foods that are processed and therefore need labels.
Third rule: ingredients are listed in order of the percentage amount. If sugar or fat is in the first 4 or so ingredients, do not buy it.
Good luck with that. These rules are my opinion only, but this is how I lost and have kept off 40 pounds after 11 years.

Many of us feel that certain medication make it more difficult to lose weight and to control our weight. Do you have any thoughts or advice for us?

I haven't, but I have heard of them; seems like they could be helpful. In my case, the BED is secondary to other medical issues, so I'm hoping treating these might help the BED. Thank you for your comment 🙂
